Central London was faced with a tragic occurrence which saw a huge fire break out in a luxurious hotel.
The five-star Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge was overshadowed by smoke moments after the fire service agency was called in. A total of 120 firefighters and 20 engines were sent to burning hotel.
Immediately the fire started, evacuation of all personnel and guest in the hotel was coordinated and a total of 36 hotel guests and 250 hotel staff were directed out of the building.
One hotel worker said: “The fire alarm started and everybody was told to get outside.
“Everything’s fine but we don’t know how it started yet.”
