Questions are being raised in many quarters as to whether it is possible to stop the Veteran Tennis Player, Rafael Nadal on clay.
Nadal, Top seed, will be seeking to add another trophy to his accolades as he contests in the final of the 2018 French Open. He will bid for a record-extending 11th French Open.
He cruised past Juan Martin Del Porto in the semi final match on Friday, beating the Argentinian 6-4, 6-1, 6-2 to proceed to the final.
Rafael Nadal, 32, will face Dominic Thiem in the final match of the French Open on Sunday.
Nadal has an impeccable record of 85 wins out of 87 matches in Roland Garros and that’s why it’s a wonder whether he can ever be stopped in the clay court.
“I am very happy to be back in the final here at Roland Garros. For me it’s incredible,” said Nadal.
“It’s impossible without hard work and going through tough moments.
“You have to be focused and keep your passion for the game. I never dreamed in 2005 when I played my first final here that I would be in another one.”
Thiem, 24, also defeated Marco Cecchinato in straight sets on Friday.
Both players would desire to clinch the trophy.
